Miesha Theresa Tate ( born on 18 August 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She is currently a competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and was the previous UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate was previously a Strikeforce female bantamweight champion. She was also the vice president of ONE Championship. She currently ranks in the top 10 in UFC women's bantamweight standings as of October 3 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. When she was a young girl Tate was often seen hanging out with her fellow boys from her neighborhood on the playgrounds.
